Thai Maxim Model Accused of Selling Underage Girl for Sex on LINE App

Former Maxim model Alisa Jaidee has been charged with human trafficking after she allegedly sold a 16-year-old girl for sex via the LINE messaging app.
The 32-year-old Thai model used the app to send undercover police officers photos of young women she claimed were prostitutes.
She was arrested after her flight arrived at Suvarnabumi Airport in Bangkok on Tuesday, Daily Mail reported.
The legal age of consent in Thailand is 18, but Jaidee arranged for the underage girl to have sex at a hotel with the police officer for 15,000 baht (about $442).
Police said that she wanted to split the money by keeping 8,000 baht (about $236) for herself and giving the teen 7,000 baht ($206.25).
While in custody, Jaidee was “uncooperative” and tried throwing her phone away after pretending to be sick to go to the bathroom, according to Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Suntiyit Tavorn.
“The investigation found that the accused had a clear role in the activity,” he said, adding that “she was involved in the division of funds for the purchase of sexual services.”
She was also charged with “procuring a girl aged under 18 for a sex service and promoting an underage girl’s lewd act for payment or other benefits,” the major general said.
Jaidee has posed nude for other publications in Asia, and most recently modeled lingerie, performed in online shows and promotional events.
